This is not a hamachi issue, I have identical issues (regarding rubber banding and latency of commands) the server itself is fit to run minecraft(it's sitting in the same room as us, we have a server so it's not running on either of our computers), so is my computer, there are two others who play with me, all at the same time, and they get no latency, one is within the network, one is not. I am the one who gets the latency.
I had the server ping me and normally it's average of 0.233ms. But when I have it ping me while playing minecraft on it the pings average 80.0ms easily and can go as high as 133.0ms.TL/DR - Hamachi isn't the issue, I have the same problems and I'm not using it.

I have been experiencing the same problem playing on my friends server (hosted via hamachi). It seems to happen irregularly, dependent perhaps on peak traffic times. The first time we played together it was fine, which was around 1am to 3am. The next day we played from 12pm - 4pm, and it was around the end of that session that it started to develop heavy, heavy lag (over a minute for chat to appear etc.)It is now the third day, and after just trying to play at about 2pm, it started off with heavy lag, then reduced for a few minutes, after which skyrocketing to an unplayable level (floating creepers dancing around me and being uncharacteristically friendly).I am unsure of our internet speeds but so far it seems to be due to peak traffic times as I've had long blocks of it there being 0 lag. If anyone has a lead on why this would be occurring please let us know!

Quote fromFunny you should put those two lines right next to each other. It's your internet. That's a terrible, terrible upload speed (which sadly is par for the course these days,) which is pretty much guaranteed to be your problem. His internet is pretty decent, well at least he's not the one hosting it.The upload speed is 6Mbps (which is more than enough) and I doubt he'd even use a fraction of it while playing on a server.BUT, low ping is pretty much the key in this situation.I'd say it's decent in this case. Quote fromOkay, I joined a network made by my friend, and when I join his Hamachi server, I lag BAD. I ask everybody else if they're fine, and they obviously are; like it takes me about 30 seconds to open a chest, but instantaneously for them:smile.gif:. Yes, we talk in Skype, but the server lags nonetheless when I don't even have the Skype process on.
This is no FPS lag, but rather block lag.Computer specs:AMD Athlon(tm) 7550 Dual Processor2.51 GHz, 3.00 GB of RAM (Note: RAM isn't a problem)Windows XP x32ATI Radeon HD 4300/4500 seriesInternet specs:AT&T 18mbps internet. (I download at 2 megabytes per second)Thank you.I'm running my server off of a quad-core AMD Phenom X4 processer (4gb RAM). I have had reports of people getting TONS of lag. When I look at my server feed, It usually tells me when there's a server overload. I'm not getting any of these messages.
I, personally, have 0 lag, but one other person has 14-30 seconds of lag. I don't think it's my computer's slowness. It would be great if I could fix this. WARNING: THIS IS NOT A SOLUTION! I have the same problem with my brother and I. I host a Hamachi bukkit server and I'm have no lag at all.

I am sitting right next to him and he gets up to 15-30 seconds lag. It doesn't matter which server, bukkit or vanilla, it lags like hell for him. It is only the computer that is not hosting the server which lags.
Although all of this is bad, after a while of trying not let him get bad lag, out of the blue, it stops lagging. But then, it started lagging again, then stops, and starts. Hopefully the new 1.3 update will fix some lag. SOMEONE TRY TO FIND AN ANSWER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What directory is speedfan in? Make sure you save it somewhere then right click on it and Run As Admin. Once you install it there should be a shortcut on your desktop.
Right click on it and Run As Admin. If the mouse is contantly cutting out then right click on the clock and Start Task Manager. Then Processes and Show Processes from All Users. Then minimize task manager. It should display the CPU usage in a small box by the clock. (you may have to click on the down arrow to the left of the clock and click on Customize then scroll down to find the Task manager icon. Change Only Show Notifications to Show Icon and Notifications, OK ) Then if the mouse hangs you can look at the box and get a good idea of the CPU usage by how much green is showing.
If it's all green then something is using up all fo the CPU.
